- The creation of two functional laboratories dedicated and specialized to stem cell culture and manipulation. One unit in Thessaloniki will be GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant which is an absolute required safety level for transplanting cells to humans. The other one in Bitola will be at the best possible level ready to be upgraded as needed in the future
- Both units will be equipped with basic but state of the art instruments adequate for cell handling and manipulation
- In Bitola a small administrative office will be also created able for management and coordination of similar projects
- Both units in order to transfer technology will undertake the development of working protocols (standard operating procedures SOPs) for stem or other cell isolation, expansion, differentiation and storage
The above steps will enable both partners to
- Participate in research and clinical trials worldwide with respect to regenerative medicine
- Facilitate the implementation and development of disease oriented therapeutic protocols involving the use of stem or other cell therapies
- Increase the competitiveness and contribute against the scientific isolation of the parties involved and render REMEDIC as a pole of continuous education and training center for specialized and cutting edge technologies in the Balkan region
